Alessandra Arezzi Boza
After graduating in History of Contemporary Art at the University of Florence in 1998, Alessandra has worked as a freelance fashion historian, curator and archive specialist in fashion museums (Galleria del Costume di Palazzo Pitti, Florence) as well as private fashion houses (Gianfranco Ferré Foundation, Giorgio Armani, Fendi Archive, Emilio Pucci Foundation). As the director of the Emilio Pucci Archive Foundation between 2001 and 2015 she was responsible for coordinating digital documentation, storage and care of the collections. She curated, and edited catalogues for, the exhibitions Emilio Pucci: Drawings, 1949–1959; Emilio Pucci, 1957: La Collezione Palio; and Emilio Pucci (marking the 60th anniversary of the brand).
Alessandra has lectured internationally, including Polimoda in Florence, Milan Polytechnic, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, LIM College New York, Richmond University, and Kunstbibliothek – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. She is one of the co-founders of Europeana Fashion, a major EU-funded project gathering together 35 European fashion museums and archives, with the goal to create a global digital portal for fashion, fashion culture and fashion curation.
